Twinning Program Launched at Lake Balaton: A New Chapter in the Learning from Asia Project

This past weekend, the one-year Twinning Program was officially launched at MCC’s Revfülöp Center, marking an exciting new phase of the Learning from Asia project. Set against the backdrop of Lake Balaton, the opening workshop brought together MCC students and Asian university students living in Hungary, all of whom are actively involved in the Learning Institute’s research activities.

Designed to strengthen cross-cultural understanding, leadership skills, and collaborative work, the Twinning Program pairs students into mixed teams. Over the course of the year, participants will explore educational and cultural perspectives from Asia and Europe, working together to design meaningful and innovative projects.

The very first workshop already showed the program’s potential: teams quickly began generating creative, thoughtful ideas that point toward promising outcomes. Throughout the year, students will engage in a combination of online sessions, in-person workshops, and community-building events, culminating in a final presentation where they will showcase the results of their collaboration.

The launch weekend made one thing clear: this is only the beginning, but a year of valuable, lasting, and inspiring student projects is already on the horizon.
