Katherine Forestier is a consultant and education researcher, specialising in international comparative education, education policy, reform, and institutional development, with a focus on East Asia, and in particular Hong Kong. Her career has straddled education journalism, as the South China Morning Post’s Education Editor, and international education relations, as a former Director of Education, British Council Hong Kong, and more latterly education research, collaborating with Education University of Hong Kong, among others. Her research has included a focus on the West’s interest in high-performing East Asian education systems, and how those systems are perceived locally.
